What is the best way to mount a bipod on an FX Royal 500. I have seen a some where it is attached to the air tank. It appears the mount was epoxied to the bottle.

If you want to mount it on the bottle, look here

I saw that too, but would mounting it to the tank cause any undo stress to where the bottle mounts?

I haven't read about anything negative happening but iI wouldn't mount a bipod on the bottle of my gun. I would think there would be unnecessary stress on the fitting.

It looks like you have enough wood to tap a sling stud. Even if you have to cut it in half it should be enough to hold.
-
Did you mount a bipod to your bottle? If so what did you use and are you happy with it?
-
No I didn't. I'm still using a front rest with a rear bag for the bench. For field work I use a tripod with with a rifle rest from Bog Gear. In the field I can use the tripod as a bipod as well. Very stable platform.

Thanks for the quick reply and info.
