So I shot a few shots today. The accuracy is unbelievable, 50 meters is not even a challenge.
But there is one very very strange thing, the type B is supposed to shoot 31 fp energy, but I shot 18.13 gr pellets with a average of 705 fps = 20 fp energy :o thats 11 fp energy less than 5he specs say.
What do you guys think it could be?
Regards
Marno

My HiLite SE shoots 18s at 905avg FPS or 32.93 ft/lb. make sure your chrono is set to the proper distance. Mine defaults to 24in. but the sensors are 18in. My results were down 30% which parallels your results.

Something wrong here that is very low FPS

0 ring in barrel, power adjuster?
-
Oring in barrel would cause accuracy to erode.
-
Check the bolt or probe oring.

Thought daystate is supposed to have a sheet that the rifle was tested..? Tells you the FPS and they include a picture of the grouping.
Good luck.. still believe the cricket is superior.

That test sheet with target and Chrony results is compliments of AOA. Daystate doe not do that to guns shipped to the USA.

okay very very strange stuff happening here. I looked into the barrel and a saw no oring BUT there is place for one. I phoned Safari and Outdoor where i bought it here in South African and i told them the situation. They took a look at the guns they have in the shop and saw NOT ONE of the guns have a oring in the barrel. Well I took the liberty to installing a oring and guess what... The gun went from 705 FPS up to 824 FPS (20 FPE up to 27 FPE) That is a big big difference and i did not tune anything what so ever. So i phone Safari and Outdoor again and gave the my results and they were also amazed. They told me they will contact Daystate with this issue and let me know what they say.
I want to know from you Daystate owners, do your gun have a oring in the barrel?
Thanks

It's good to hear you got it sorted out. But it's strange that a whole bunch of Daystate guns are missing that oring. Maybe someone in production QC was daydreaming for a bit.

5mmx1.5mm oring (if it hasn't changed.
It would bother "me" if my dealer didn't know the rifles they sold any better than that. Nice of you to educate them like that, maybe they would like to give you a few tins of pellets for saving them a TON of future complaints? You might also go ahead and contact daystate just to (politely) inform them of this as many a person wont figure out this simple problem and this will lead to returns and poor word of mouth advertising for them.
John
Thanks guys and i truly hope so hey.
Thanks

My O-ring is on the bolt probe on my Regal. Kinda like it there better than inside the barrel. It's a little worn but no sign of it leaking. Anyone know what size it is?

Glad you found problem
This really is BAD PR for daystate and I would think they would like to hear from you about this.
Who knows they should show you some appreciation.
