I got my vantage np refurb today. So far its great. I shot open sights and it was spot on. I do not ever shoot open sights on any other guns but Im thinking of keeping this one that way. The cocking action is not much harder than my Titan Gp 22 and that is very easy. The stock on the gun was near perfect. A few patches through the barrel was all it needed. I did do the bearing trick on the trigger. That took 5 min and made a huge difference. Im leaving it at that. This gun is a winner at twice the price.
$62 delivered crossman refurb. I should have bought it last year and was waiting to see if they came around again.

I tested mine also. The open sights are maxed out left & high with various quality pellets. Mounted the scope and it's dead on with H&N Finale pellets at 10 yards. Not a mark on the gun, looks brand new. I can't even find the stamped "R" on the barrel block. I've done the washer mod to the Crosman triggers before but this is the 1st time I went with a longer adjustment screw instead. I must say that I like the longer screw better than the washer. Even feels safer. Anyway, this is the 1st rifle that I got from Crosman that I did not have rip apart to make it accurate. Great out the box and great price.

Here is the youtube link to the bearing trick. It took 5 minutes and made the trigger really smooth and short. Still cocked just fine.

I got mine for $68 to my door. I originally bought it for Betty Lou to shoot with me when I shoot my Nitro Venom but the NV was easier for her to cock. But, she liked the small wrist on the Vantage so a swap was made. The vantage now wears the NV stock and Vice Versa. I did a good old home tune on it and I'm very happy with it. Mine likes the CPUM 10.5, same as the NV. Oh... and I cheated a bit on the trigger... I dropped in a CDT. I offered a CDT to Betty Lou for the NV but she likes it stock...girls! As you both have reported.. I can't find a flaw on it. Mine does have the "R" stamp.

Does the 'r' mean refurb?

Does the 'r' mean refurb?
That is my understanding

Here is another Mod for the crosman trigger, it's to reduce the travel on the trigger, another words you don't have to pull very far on the trigger to get to fire.
