Title: Rat Sniper Breech
Post by: bgmcgee on November 07, 2014, 05:34:04 PM
I received one of Mikes a.k.a. CarsonRatSniper breeches on Monday. If you don't know about these check his vendor gate ratsniper slugs. Anyway the breech is one of the best I have tried. I've got the standard crosman steel breech,  Cothrane stainless, Anthony R's aluminum and a bluefork aluminum breech. The one from Mike is the tightest on all tolerances.  The bolt glides with no slop at all and almost locks the bolt handle in place. Barrel fit is tight and smoothe. I really like that it has a picatinny rail instead of the standard dovetail.  It makes finding scope rings, especially when you have 30mm or larger scope tubes. I will say it is the priciest breech out of them all but you do pay for quality workmanship. Here are a couple of pictures of it on my 2260. This should give you an idea on how they would look on a Disco.

Wow, Barry.  That's saying a lot.  And I am looking at a Cothran breech.  But I am waiting for Mike to make his 9mm breech and barrel combo.

Thanks on the compliments. Don't get me wrong the Cothran breech is very nice also as are the others. The fit of this one is just a little better. But then again look at the price difference too.

True, but if his 9mm breech/barrel works for me then I'm hooked.

Very nice Barry.  So, that breech works as good as it looks.  Great addition to a good looking 2260. :-*

What I like about these breeches is that they look like they are bored to contain over three inches of barrel.  Some breeches are only bored for one inch or so.  Much better for free floating a barrel.
