Title: 760 Help needed
Post by: LAalex on November 06, 2014, 09:26:14 PM
My son was given an old 760 with the metal bolt by his grandmother(it was her Dad's).  When pumping, I hear air escaping from the breech area.  It looks to be missing an O-ring/seal on the bolt.  Is there a rebuild kit for these or do I have to buy the parts piecemeal from Crosman.  Also, are there any good tutorials on disassembly/reassembly.  I'm a springer guy--the only pneumatic I've really opened up was a 2100-and I never got it back together (gave parts to Tom @ Buzzard Bluff before he passed away.)  Would
appreciate any advice on this.  It's not much of a gun, but he considers it special since it's a gift so I'd like to at least get it shooting.

Thanks,
Scotty

That's an older one. a keeper. no o ring on bolt. It's prob just worn. Valve may need seal kit. Also bryan and @@@. has the bolt and seals. You tube has a video on repair. It's not a bad job.

Also try Dennis Baker, a GTA vendor listed in our vendor gate and GTA Mall. He will most likely have the rebuild parts. If not, contact JG Airguns, also listed in our Mall. John most definitely has rebuild parts. Keep us informed.
