Title: crosman tr77 won't engage sear
Post by: coaxialtasko on October 28, 2014, 12:42:36 PM
I have a TR77 springer .177 that I did the trigger washer fix to.It woked fine, then I put a grt3 in it and it was too much of a hair trigger and the safety wouln't work, so I took it out and put it in a crossmann vantage. The crosman safety doesn't work now (I think the spring that catches the safety notches is bent.) When I cock the tr77 action with regular trigger with washers and no springs it stops short a won't engage the sear. There are no diagrams available. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If the spring is in question that is the photo to show. Your wording is confusing. Does either rifle work and which one has the safety problem?

Try here > http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/Parts_Schematics/CROSMAN,_GAMO,CHINESE_TRIGGER.pdf (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/Parts_Schematics/CROSMAN,_GAMO,CHINESE_TRIGGER.pdf)
The problem with using washer mod is safety...either sear is barely engaged or you will shoot with safety engaged. Try fishing split ring instead of washer to shorten first stage then replace trigger spring with a light one.
