Title: TF99 trigger
Post by: RCO on October 27, 2014, 05:33:12 PM
Besides removing burrs and smoothing parts are there any tips or links for the TF99 trigger? It is about the same as the XS46U trigger. I know it isn't the top trigger but like to get it as good as it can be.

add some thin plastic washers to the sides of the trigger, it's loose in the box and that will take out the side play. Also deburr and polish the rim of the box, it's stamped out and has a rough edge...

Thanks Mike. Any idea about pull weight after trigger job? There aren't many guys posting this rifle.

The trigger will smooth out nicely two around one or two pounds ( didn't have a trigger gauge ) but that what mine seem to be. It took a few hundred or thousands shoots but the end result was worth it. I did do a polish job on the trigger and it feels about the same maybe a few ounces less now but if you shoot it a lot it will work itself out.
O be careful with the trigger spring, take pic of which way it goes it's easy to be it in backwards. One more thing if your gun starts to fire when you take it off safe look at your trigger itself. The trigger spring may have wear itself into the trigger.
