Just thought I'd share...
After having some issues with my first Stoeger X20 and not wanting to wait 3-4 weeks for an exchange to get back to me they said I could order a new one and return it for a refund. This is my first break barrel and I really like it so I just ordered another one on Monday and will ship the other back when I get the RMA information.
Out of the box there are several differences. The finish on the stock is much darker and looks very nice and warm to me. On the first one it was much lighter in color and the left front inside of the stock was all chewed up where this one both sides are nicely cut out and finished.
I took the scope off and the stop screw was set correctly. Not sure if it was set correctly on the first one or it came lose as I didn't think to check that screw being my first break barrel. However, I did tighten all the other screws. After a while of shooting accuracy started to fail and I noticed the scope slide to the back of the rail and kept moving back which started peeling back the scope mount lips on each side. I removed the scope and broke off the pieces of the mount that were peeling back. Put it back on and tried to sight it back in and got it close but ran out of windage and elevation adjustment so I have to aim a down and to the left a little. This is way I returned the gun. Hopefully I will have plenty of adjustment left once this scope is sighted in.
Tightened all the screws, which tightened up nicely, on the 1st gun the forward trigger guard screw was stripped. I have a GTR III trigger so I will lock tight all the screws once I get that installed to help insure the stay in place. I also ran several cleaning patches through the barrel with weed eater cord until there wasn’t any residue.
Set up 15 feet from my target for the first shot with open sights and it was just about an inch high and little to the left. I adjusted the windage so I was center and elevation so I was I hitting around ½ below the bulls eye. On the first gun, I couldn’t get the gun sighted in with open sights. Although, I didn’t try open sights until after the scope problem so I’m not sure if that would have caused accuracy issues.
I’ll get the scope on tonight and put 500 rounds through it this weekend and report back but so far I think this one is definitely a keeper.

good deal getting one that appears to shoot better.

So far so good, the cocking action and safety seem to be smoother also. Plus, I received an email with a prepaid shipping label with free pick up from Fedx on AGDs behalf. Thank you!!!
I'll be heading to wally world after work to get a tin of 500 chp's and start shooting.

You might also try some CPL's or a smorgasbord of other quality domes (HN FTT's or JSB Exact domes) from Pyramid Air with their 4 tins for the price of 3 deal. No telling what she'll like best until you try, and having a few options on hand is a good excuse to find another rifle that likes the other pellets ;D

My x20 likes the Crosman hp and the pointed hunting pellets. I use the open sights on my x20
