Title: CROSMAN .22 DESTROYER NUMBERS FOR BEEMAN SILVER KODIAK
Post by: cryptoad on October 08, 2014, 05:30:09 PM
These are 14.3gr pellets that yielded the following numbers for me:

LOW = 666.6     HIGH = 687.3     AVG - 677.7     ES = 20.75      SD = 4.89   AVG FPE = 14.56     # OF SHOTS = 15

This rifle still hasn't been tuned but has had several hundred pellets shot through it.

And-----? It's not really about velocity, it's more about accuracy. It could be shooting 1000fps, but if it doesn't group well, it's not worth much. I've heard mixed results for Crosman Destroyers. Some people have called them "group destroyers".

The 2 most accurate pellets through this rifle are the RWS Superdome 14.5gr and the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13gr.  I get very tight groups with both of these.
(And I get a lot of squirrels, too!)

Isn't that hun supposed to be ar1000 or TF89 clone? With 14.3 it should be a lot quicker than that I believe. If it's accurate and your fine with it then that's fine but I think it should be shooting a little hotter. Maybe your spring has broke off on the end or bad deal somewhere.

I need to break it down and give it an overhaul.

Yeah I've seen a few of your other chronograph results and it seems like it's been dropping off in velocity.  How many shots have you put through it?  Mine is at about 1500 I, probably need to service mine too.

I probably have a few thousand rounds through it between the two calibers.  I no longer shoot the .177 barrel with it since getting the Crosman Vantage.  The Vantage has not proven as accurate when it comes to knocking down squirrels.
