Hello to all.1st I have to say thanks to all the members here and all the very imformative info.Ive learned alot. This is an awesome forum. So I just ordered a Pneuma .177 from AOA has anyone had experience with this rifle?Looks to be a descent shooter. Its going to be used to punch paper 90% of the time.I have my hunters.I going full bore pcp only.Sold all but 1 of my springers. And yes I am an airgun addict.Totally addicted to the darkside now.My shoulders and neck thank me.No more magnum springers for me. Thanks Ken

I dont have one but from the reviews i have seen its a good powerful gun.I do know its real loud so it would not be for the backyard.
I hope you enjoy it and keep us posted with pics and first thoughts

Be prepared to tear it down almost immediately. Unless they've made some major changes in the last couple of years, it'll be stiff and gritty out of the box, and the trigger is awful. BTW, it's a single stage trigger despite the advertising hype, the so-called first stage is nothing but a spring that does no work. Mine had air leaks at both ends of the air tube, I never did get one of those sorted out. As already stated, it's pretty loud, but the barrel is threaded for an attachment. There's room to install a shroud, but it would be a custom job. Unfortunately, I sold mine before I got my lathe, so I never got the chance to make a shroud for it.
All that aside, it's not a bad rifle after some serious detail work, especially on the trigger. Tearing it down is a bit of a challenge as there's no usable exploded diagram anywhere that I could find. That may have changed. Out of the box, it's plenty powerful, but the the shot count is lousy. On mine, there was a tiny 1/8" spacer on the hammer spring, removing that dropped the velocity a little bit, but more than doubled the shot count. It also quieted it down a bit.
Not trying to rain on your parade, just giving you a heads up :-). If there's anything I can help with, let me know, I had mine apart more than a few times. Nothing wrong with the accuracy, although mine had a consistency issue with the original stock. Once I swapped the synthetic stock for a Halestorm stock, that problem went away, so I think it may have been a me issue rather than the rifle :-). Good luck.

Thanks Dave for the heads up.I really dont mind having to tinker with it.Thats part of the fun. Then when I got it just right it gives me a good feeling of accomplishment and a personal touch. Noise really isnt an issue since im surrounded by relatives on both sides of my property and got a good amount of land to shoot on.

thanx daved, i was ready to pull the trigger on the deal of $249 on the Pneuma of AOA. I guess I'll look into the Evanix or BSA r-10. Evanix have that anti-double loading which is so cool. I hate it when I double load the marauder or BSA sportsman hv.
-
You know, Eddie, $249 is probably a fair price for one of those, and from what I've been reading, Hatsan has been working at improving their QC, so the new ones could be much better than the one I had. That said, if you're thinking of looking at Evanix, don't forget the check out the Renegade Carbine. I think it's a seriously underrated rifle, and has been badly overshadowed by the later models. More power than the BSA, similar sized package, and the trigger is pretty sweet, too. Considering the headaches I'm having with my BSA magazine, I wish I'd gotten another Renegade instead :-). Later.

I have the Halestorm in .22.I have not had a single issue with the rifle.Pneuma & Halestorm are the same except for the stocks & Halestorm has 10 shot mag. I bought it last Oct. & have put about a 1,000 pellets thru it.The trigger does have a heavy pull but still can maintain a dime size group at 50 yrds.
-
Dime size groups at 50 yds......are u sure ???
-
Absolutely positive! Have taken shots on Squirrel out to 100 yrds. & they are D.R.T.. 18 grn. @860 avg..The Halestorm will tak`em out!!I will put it up against any Marauder any day any place. That`s how sure I am Mr. Patton1............
-
I have to agree with Trekkerx. My Hale Storm is a tack driver. Also its not pellet fussy at all. Mine is a .177. It shoots 7.9 CP tighter then CP 10 s . I've really considered buying the Pneuma. $249.00 you can't go wrong. I'm not a big fan of the plastic stock but that is a good deal.
-
Mine has only had the JSB`s 18.1 grn. One thing I did do to it was polish the barrel with Mother`s Metal Polish. The groups went from a quarter to dime or smaller @ 50 yrds. Now if I put the cross hairs on it. It dies!! Simple as that. For the money I spent on this rifle is has performed & performed beyond my expectations. You can`t go wrong if you buy one..........
-
Sounds real cool.Cant wait to get it.Im gonna put my 4-16x40IR BSA mil dot on it.Thanks for the reviews.I'll post some groups when I get it. Ken
-
Leadfingers if you get some Mothers & polish the bore it should improve your group size.I would try some groups without it then if not satisfied try the Mothers.I have the Leapers 30mm 3-9X44 on the Halestorm.I don`t think you`ll regret getting the Pneuma. On the New Zealand Airgunners forum there is a post on how to lighten the trigger pull. Its Hatsan AT44 Trigger tuning. My Halestorm shoots so well I haven`t done a thing to it.

yeah, the pneuma may be a bit rough around the edges but is one *(&^ of a hunter. In .22 it will spit kodiaks with ridiculous accuracy way pass 50 yards... its a bit loud, but that can be helped...

$249 plus shipping $20 to $269 for Pneuma, single shot, loud, accurate with any pellet, made in turkey. refrub .177/.22 marauder $330 shipped. crosman customer service, multi repeater, quiet, and able to run on 2000psi to speed of 875fps on 14.3g CP for 30 shots. $269 shipped for brand new Dynamax (made in England) which is basically BSA sportsman HV repeater, loud, accurate BSA natural chock barrel, crappy workable expensive $90 magazine, 20 shots from 3000psi at 940fps. I just hate that marauder is pellet sensitive. choices, choices.....

Now seems to be the time to buy a pcp.I sold my Halestorm tonight to a friend that has been wanting a accurate pcp for awhile now. Everytime we go hunting together I`ll bring back 7-10 Squirrels to his 3! 3 is the most he got in a single day with his Benjamin XL1100 or his .22 rimfire. The halestorm has eaten him alive as the accuracy is awesome. He is my hunting buddy & I talked him into buying that XL1100 so he wanted to buy it so I sold it to him.Now I`m thinking about another Evanix.I like the power of Evanix rifles, Sumatra`s & the Career`s so I think I`ll get another Evanix.I had a Blizzard at one time but sold it to to a guy I work with & he still has it & loves it.I think a Rainstorm might be next.I only buy .22 or larger. I have no use for .177,it`s just to small for me.I do love a .20 but not many company`s make them.
-
I was just looking at the Evanix video on Pyramid. I was checking out the AR6 pistol at the time. Do they make a shroud for the rifles? Sweet guns but loud. I like the looks of the magazines and love the single stage trigger option.
-
I don`t think the AR6 pistol comes stock with a barrel shroud.I think you could make one for it .

$269 for a Dynamax???? WHERE?
-
gamousa.com had that $359 shipped deal with scope and pellets. I sold the scope and pellet for $115. minus shipping cost. got the dynamax for $269 shipped. very accurate barrel. and with $70 TKO LDC, quiet as marauder. I like dynamax better then my marauder. hate the BSA magazine cost of $90 a mag. so I have to reload the only mag I have every 10 shots. marauder mag are only $9 each, so easy to get like 5 mag to keep shooting w/o stopping.
-
I just got my .177 DynaMax last week and am favorably impressed! Extremely accurate with Crosman UltraMags from the tin! Now all it needs is an effective de-bounce device! This is my 4th BSA, so I know about the mags. Fortunately, the mag in this one works perfect without having to "tweak" it.

I got my new Pnuema 177.Very smooth operation not gritty at all. This is one very powerful rifle.I put my BSA 4-16x40ao on it.Under a dime groups at 25yds.I gotta get me some real heavy pellets.I got barricudas but this rifle needs a heavier pellet.Cracks the sound barrier with the barricudas but still holds its accuracy at 25yds.To much wind lately for more distance..Very loud rifle.Sounds like a .22 rimfire. From what I read about these rifles with kodiaks it should hit the mid to high 900s.Mine is definitely shooting harder than that to be cracking the sound barrier.Chony is next on my list. Then I may detune it a bit for better shot count and lighter pellets.I get about 40 good shots per fill before the point of aim begins to change at 25yds.Cant beat the price from AOA at 249.00.Alot of bang for the buck.More to come when I get my chrony. Opps Im on my sons screen name. [leadfingers] Ken
