Hi Folks,
I know to many this will probably be old hat stuff, but i thought I'd share;
Yesterday tested my new 30J 0.25 HW90, and after afew open sight shots, weakened and grabbed my default test scope, the old 3-9x40Hawke HD, originally supplied with my pro-sport.
the stop roll pin inside the rear Hawke match mount was small (4mm) diameter compared to the HW indexing spots which were 6mm nom. diameter and 1.5mm deep, so i simply chucked a piece of HE15 and machined up a 3.98 x 6.1 x 1.7mm spacer washer, this gave a good fit, has prevented any Marring of the hole, and has held perfectly for initial 150 shots with no POI drift at 45yds see below;
I would still be happier with one piece mount but that will have to wait on scope selection;
safe shooting

Nice...I put 3 more screws in an RWS one piece, and then glued it down with 648 Loctite...:) This on my 20 cal RX2.
cheers,
