AHOY!
Just wanted to get some opinions on bi-pod selection. My Hatsan AT44-QE could use a little stabilization for precision vermin shots. Ive thought about a set of light weight shooting sticks so I am not adding weight to my already barrel heavy rig. Ive also thought it would be handy to not have to worry about leaving the sticks at home by accident. Most of what I shoot is pigeons in a horse arena and nutria on a lawn. Both about 30 yards maximum range, most are closer. Within 50 feet. The pigeons are not so much the concern as the Nutria, they're a bit tougher skinned and I always take head shots. Thoughts? Ideas? Shots of tequila?

Harris bipods are an excellent choice.... Since you're using it on an air rifle and not a center fire I would get the cheapest Harris clone that I could find

I recently got the Caldewll XLA 9-13 pivot model & I'm very happy with it. It's a well built unit. I got it for prone long shots. There are longer models available for sitting as well.

I use a bog pod & love the thing. Adjustable from sitting to standing. Light weight to carry in field then it's not attached to the gun.

ditto...Harris is very well made (and expensive) and I have one on another rifle but I would go with a lighter weight clone myself.

There are LOTS of "Harris Clones" available for the "Budget Minded Shooter"
Ebay and Amazon are your friends.
Blackhawk and Caldwell both come in a "pivot " model.
I highly recommend the "Pivot" models,... (but don't waste your time with the "Traverse" or "Swivel" types).
Telescope vs. Notch leg, is your choice and preference.
remember to be mindful of whether it is a "Swivel Stud Mount" or a "Pictinny / Weaver" type mount.

I recommend the Caldwell XLA pivot model too. Be sure to get the pivot lock too ($10) otherwise its kinda a hassle to tighten once you adjust. I also got a few QD adapters to swap bipods easily/quickly from 6-9" up to 13-23". Put weaver rails on all my pcp's to do so.

huggybear, making a set is easy and cheap. 2 or 3 legs. Here's a video you may like:
