Ok, so I am thinking about adding a co2 gun to the collection and have some questions. What (if any) differences are there in the 2250xt, custom shop carbine, and custom shop pistol? I know the xt is setup for 88g carts, and the base pistol has a plastic breech, but if I got the pistol with the long steel breech and shoulder stock with a 14.6 .22 barrel would it be basically the same as the carbine or 2250 or is there some valve differences or some other difference in them? I am leaning towards the xt right now because I don't want to spend a bunch on 12g carts, I think I saw something about an adapter to use a paintball tank instead of the 88g AS carts. Thanks in advance.

Actually, it LOOKS like they've gone to a metal breech on the 2250XT. The custom shop gun has some advantages, like an adjustable trigger and a longer barrel which will give you more power. My 2400kt cost me about $82 without scope (and you'll likely end up upgrading the scope, so why pay for it) and it's is otherwise very similar to the 2250xt. Both guns are very modifiable to both PCP and bulk fill.
I have to say that I'm contemplating the 2250xt IN ADDITION TO my 2400kt. Both guns have desirable characteristics. The rear fill with the easy option to bulk is a major benefit to the 2250xt.
On the other hand, I really like my KT. I do backyard starling and sparrow control work mostly with mine and I really don't have a problem with the powerlets. I get plenty of shots out of them, so while I'd like to bulk eventually, I'm pretty happy. At the price, you can get a really nice gun and add a good scope for less than the XT.
