Title: The ups truck left me a new toy
Post by: stevei48 on September 10, 2014, 10:05:53 PM
I bought this old crosman 140, from a guy on the AA classifieds. $90 shipped I have been wanting a older crosman pumper for a long time. It has been resealed and shoots hard. The former owner tried it out on a rabbit. Does anyone have a picture of the rear sight? I think this one is bent rearward. You are kind of looking at the top edge.  I used the nail polish in the picture to brighten up the sights so older eyes can see them. I am hoping to get to shoot it a little farther, this weekend, and do some accuracy testing.

Love that truck. Congrats on your new piece of history.

The rearward bend seems to be built in.

I found my 140 at an estate sale.  It wasn't holding air but only cost 35 bucks.  Got a seal kit from Precision Pellet and went to work.  This was the first pumper I ever took apart.  It now wears an old Weaver V22 on a set of Crosman 459 mounts.  Accurate and hard hitting, a very fun shooter.

Cool find on the 140. Those are great shooting little pumpers. I got a Sears model given to me by one of my son's friends. His dad was going to toss it in the trash.  I rebuilt it completely and am really happy how it came out.

What sight do you have on that Sears?  I like peep sights!

It's the Williams peep that came with my 2300kt I ordered from the custom shop. One thing nice is on the Sears variants they have grooved receivers.

Very nice rifle.  Makes me want to go garage sailing over the coming weekend.

I would contact Ron Sauls of Bryan & Assoc. Sure he would have a new sight or he would make one for you. Lee
