Title: TX200 Wadcutters
Post by: s10gto on January 22, 2011, 10:51:51 AM
For you TX shooters What wadcutter pellet does your TX like? My TX is one hole accuate with H&N FTT @ 15 yards ,but would like a wadcutter for paper punching. RWS Meisterkugeln's are OK and RWS Super Mag's are better. Anyone find some one hole wadcutters?

Thanks

Dustin

i have never tried wc in mine but you might want to try the hn brand. the only pellet i have ever used was the hn ftt. they shoot great so i never had to experiment

I know what you mean Tom. The FTT"s are great. I would just like a wadcutter for that perfect round hole then shooting paper in the basement.

I know yours is a .22 ,but have you ever tryed AA pellets? I believe they are made by JSB. Another very accurate pellet in my TX. ;D

;D Hi Dustin, I have a TX200 in .22cal and She stacks RWS Meisterkugeln 14.00gr pellets all day long from 10 Meters to 30 Meters. I tried RWS Hobbys, H&N Match, Gamo Match and Crosman Match Wadcutter( these are 20years old and I have half a tin left) these come close but the best for me are the RWS Meisterkugeln.......Shoot Safe and Enjoy.....Bill  8)

Thanks Bill! Mine is a .177. The Meisterkugeln's shoot well in my TX. I get about 1/2 inch groups and tighter groups with the Super Mag's. The H&N FTT's and AA Diabolo's are the best. I can put pellet after pellet in the same hole. ;D Was just hoping to find a WC for easier scoring. With the round headed pellets they tend to rip a bit.

Crosman Premier wadcutters do okay for that purpose, plus they are available at Wally World, at least the .177 version is.

:D :D Dustin try shooting fluroscent colored paper reinforcements, your target will be the center hole 1/4 inch at 10 Meters. This is great practice. I usually clip the edge of the paper, but I shoot a .22cal. Shooting a .177cal should be clean. I do it with my RWS 54 .177cal..Shoot Safe and Enjoy...Bill 8)

Just got back from Basspro. Picked up a bunch of targets. I like the ones made of thin cardboard type paper. Makes good holes with the FTT's. I usually print them from Targetx.com

i havnt seen them there. i guess its a regional thing. i have never tried anything else in my tx and not much luck with jsb in anything else. plus they are that much more expensive that the hn ftt pellets. for me its a no brainer
