Jon has done a great job trying to get a list and a group together for the area. We are going to meet tomorrow, sling a little lead, and discuss what the future might hold.
Our original place fell through due to a family emergency, so he is going to come out to my place in Valley Center. If you don't know where that is, welcome to the club- neither did I before I moved there!
It's just northeast of Escondido, a mile south of the Valley View casino. If you were on Jon's email list, you have already received the address and phone info. If not, but you're in reach of Valley Center and interested in coming, shoot me an email or respond to this post.
And yes, there will be shooting. I recommend you bring a lawn chair and or folding table, and pellet traps if you've got something portable.

I'm bringing my wife's cousin Chris. He doesn't own a airgun but with my 10 or so I told him there will be plenty to shoot! I just introduced him to powder burners. He purchased a 12 ga shotgun about a month ago and I took him to the desert shooting. He loves it... I may have a convert!

I'm sure I can find an extra airgun or two, as well. Is he youth-sized or grown-up?
