Title: Never thought about this until yesterday...
Post by: floydlong on August 31, 2014, 07:03:15 PM
It was raining pretty heavy here in Central Louisiana and cool enough to shoot a little in the morning. I shoot off of my patio and have some small plastic bottles out at 35'', 40' and 50 yards. Out of about 25 shots with my. QB78 in .177 I missed about 4 shots. The pellet seemed to hit low each time. The rifle had a fresh charge of bulk filled CO2 and I usually get 50 or so shots. I was just wondering how the rain effected the pellet in flight and has anyone else experienced shooting in the rain past 30 yards. Shooting under 30 yards did not seem to effect the pellet at all.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I try to space my shots out to 30 seconds between each. Not always possible but most times. I'm usually "nut on" on the 45 yard target with 2 mil dots holdover. Oh well, maybe it's my old, tired eyes. Among other old, tired things. Lol
