A little tip for side lever cocking springer owners. Put a little piece of heat shrink tubing at the end of the cocking arm to prevent premature wear of the bluing. That little piece 1"-2" section gets handled tens of thousands of times and the heat shrink tubing will prevent the bluing from wearing out on your expensive side cocking level gun prematurely. There are a lot of pristine FWB, RWS, etc. owners out there that don't want to shoot their rifles for fear of bringing down the value of their investment because appearance is everything. This would probably work on the underlevels as well.

What???? The patina of a well used tool is highly sought after...well...as long as I put it there.

;D That would only be a problem if I could bring myself to part with any of my toys

That is the fun part of air gunning. Buying, selling, and trading toys. :)

At this point the only rifles that I am going to part with is the Daisy 880 and maybe the Gamo whisper .177 with cdt trigger

Don't tell that to people in the guitar community....seems that fake....err "relic" guitars are pretty popular.

Stevie Ray Vaughn 1957 Straocaster: His wife sold it for $275K if memory serves. A fender custom shop "time worn" replica sold for $11,500. Go figure... ;D
