Title: what is so special about Bushnell Multi-X?
Post by: Booger on August 27, 2014, 06:35:25 PM
I am a Hawke man myself and prefer mil-dot, what is so special about Bushnell Multi-X? It just looks like cross hairs to me where you have to figure out hold over. I learn the mil-dots for the rifle I am using and am set to go. Can anyone explain to me why Multi-X is better? MAP6 appears to be better than the Multi-X system.

Thanks for your help.

Not better, just different. It is a duplex, most manufacturers carry this reticle. I prefer this as I have been using it for forty years. Whatever puts your pellet where you want it is the best for you. YMMV

The Bushnell Elites have better glass. Not sure about their reticles though.

Like Niko said, the Elites have better glass, especially the old 4200 series.  The reticle is just a standard duplex, nothing special about it.
While I too prefer a mil-dot, I'll take a duplex with better glass every time.
