My fist machine at home!
I have worked the last ten years professionally as an Aviation Machinist, so thought I should do the work at home and not on company time! :o

Congrats, Rick! 8)
I know you haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but does the milling head impede your vision or (for lack of a better word) "mobility" while using the lathe?
I was going to get the lathe/mill combo from Busy Bee earlier this spring, but had a change of heart at the last minute and just got my wee 7x12 Craftex lathe for now and will get the matching mini-mill next spring...hopefully! ;)
Now that you have lathe/mill at home, the wife will NEVER see you! ;D ;D

Todd, the reason I picked the M1018 was the head swivels out of the way when running the lathe. It can also be moved up two inches by a big Acme screw. I have some tooling left over from gunsmith days and just ordered $750 of tooling. Hopefully get more pictures this weekend. Too many "Honey-Do" chores to do before I can play with my new tool! NO Not that tool!!! :P :P

Sweeeeet! That's one way of conserving floor space! 8)
And ya, the one from Busy Bee doesn't do that... :(
