I had to return my AT44 S10 22 cal Long for a replacement. The store is out of stock and cannot provide me with an expected date for replacement. Instead of keep waiting I decided to use the credit and get a different rifle. I wanted a 22 cal since I already have the BT65 QE in 25 cal. The prices are so crazy, a package deal with extra air tube, air stripper, and extra mag costs the same as the rifle only, 25 cal QE AT44 costs lest than tactical 22 cal,and other calibers. I ended up getting the AT44 QE in 25 cal because it was the cheaper rifle for what I wanted. I do have another brand of 22 cal, so the 7k rounds of 22 cal will get used....

Sounds like you are talking about one of AGD package "kits" yes I bought one when I got the Galation. The salesman didn't even know about it and charged me the extra $10 for the rifle only. I sensed a problem, called back and made sure I received what they advertised was real and that I was getting it.
I called PA because I had never purchased from AGD and asked them (PA) to match the deal and they said "NO" the air cylinder, the air stripper and the clip were $209 dollars more. So I bought the "kit" from AGD. Fantastic Deal. Galation .25 is by far my favorite Hatsan. Extremely smooth, guieter (with air stripper) then even my AT44W-10 .22 which also has air stripper. And it shoots more accurately then anyone else In my Hatsan family.
Just in case anyone else is looking at a Galation, I would suggest getting the .22 cal. as the .25 is right on the edge of the power curve. It does get an honest 65 shots per fill and shoots at 50 yards down to 25 bar until a pellet starts to drop from lack of wind.

Air strippers are at both PA and AGD $27 @ $28 respectively. It would take someone more talented then me. I guess it would be possible to weld a 1/2" male pipe piece onto the end of the QE moderator and in turn screw on an air stripper. But that may stir up some problrems especially on a new gun.
Here is a mystety, my AT44w-10 with air stripper seems twice the noise as the , 25 Galation for noise polluctiom..
The BT .25 Elite is just plain "Rude".
Hatsans with air strippers in order of rude nasty barks BT65 the loudest .25, AT44 lighter bark, .22 and the Galation .25 least bark and more like a super cap gun.

But will they fit on the QE barrels? I don't think so because there's no threads at the end.

I'm guessing the "wacky" prices are because tge package deals are of the older stock non QE models.

Not really, I got a 25 cal AT44 QE for less than some of the older model 22 and 17 cal AT44s.

So what or who is "AGD"?
Too many Abbreviations in this world!

Oh sorry, it's Airgun Depot. The 25 cal AT44 QE is going for $424 while the 22 is $579 and the 17 cal is $500 too.

The long is different than the short, I think the .177 is cheapest and the .22 and .25 are more expensive. I saw the price and I was going to jump on it but the .22 was almost $100 more.

That's why I said wacky prices, some longs are more than shorts and vice versa. Some older models are more expensive than some QE models, some 25s are more and then some smaller calibers are more than 25s.

not really considering most major airgun sellers seem eager to throw in a bunch of extras to get rid of the non QEs

I emailed AGD last week asking when the at44 long would be in stock again since it said 4 months ago was the estimated date and they told me it was being discontinued and it was going to be all QE series now. I am waiting for the refurbs to come back in stock so I can snag one, I don't want to spend $200 more just for the QE model.

there is a .177 at44 wood stock for 315, or a tactical at44 .25 for 413 at the airgunweb shop right now for anybody looking for one if it doesn't have to be a long or if you don't really need the extra power and whatnot and if you don't really need it to be a QE.

I returned one for a replacement and got tired of waiting. I used the $354 credit to get a 25 cal QE short. I then ordered a long 22 cal refurb from Airgun Proshop for $307.

I talked to Rick at AGPS today and he said he was updating stock this weekend on the website, anxiously waiting so I can order my at44 long in .22 cal. The pump action is available but given the reviews on it I think it's worth waiting for the slide.
