saw some pictures on FB somebody shooting a 2240 carbine tethered to a co2 bottle. I got a hipac and got the idea of removing the internals on the fill end, connected it to my 20oz co2 bottle, and voila! bench rested shooting galore! just wanna share to anyone who has a hipac and thinking about going tethered.

Have to ask...why take the internals out (the fill nipple "guts" I assume)?
-
lol correct me if im wrong, i assumed it would lock close when filled. i thot i had a bright bulb moment lol
-
thanks for the reply ribbon, another blonde moment corrected...

Would just open every time the pressure in the gun dropped to less than the pressure in the co2 tank. Keeping the fill valve valve "guts" in place would also let you disconnect from the co2 tank and still have co2 in the HiPac unit (without those parts, whatever is in the HiPac unit is going to spray out when you disconnect).

yep, scared my kids when i bled the tank

I use my hipac to run a remote line to a 1400 psi 22ci bottle carried in a medical shoulder bag = LOTS of shots!
I run bulk 20oz CO2 in summer, HPA below 60*.
I still have the option to use just the HiPac or a 12 gram cart when I don't feel like dealing with the bag/bottle/remote line.
Its a very versatile little piece of kit.
Best right around 10 ft lbs in .177...22 seems to be an air hog.

yes it is!
