Another great day for FT.  Weather was overcast in low 80s with a light occasional breeze.  Course was about the same layout as last month with a couple changes to relieve the high berm condition.  We played golf this time using a 5 shots to make 2 type layout.  One target didn't want to cooperate for some of us 12fpe shooters, but after a 20fpe beat the stew out it all was good.

I shot OK to start but started falling apart for no reason that I could figure out.  Got home and tore the TXHC down and immediately found the problem.  Somehow the main locking post screw had worked its way nearly completely out.  One turn of the post was all that was holding the action together.  Checked everything else out and all looked good.  Back together and shooting great again.

Lesson learned on that one.  I have never seen that happen before, but will be checking after all long shooting sessions.

One more Heflin match next month before Nationals in October.

Y'all come out n see yes now, yahear.

Im curious and totally new, looking to get a AA tx200 at the end of aug for my first air gun. I used to live in alabama, near Centre, spent 20 years there, now im in gainesville ga. MY question is what type of field target are you guys shooting, so i can read the correct rules. Also, do you know if your shooting rules are the same that are used for the atlanta shoots?

Same rules as Atlanta.  In fact, most of the Atlanta guys shoot with us also.

You can find the full rules here.  http://www.aafta.org/ (http://www.aafta.org/)
