Friday evening we had perfect shooting weather!!
Bout 80 degrees and the slightest left to right breeze....nice!!
Set up the bench and grabbed the 97. Shot some awesome 50 and 60 yard groups!
Put 2 6" shoot n see targets on large protein mix containers at 100 yards....what the heck!! Put some empty beer bottles inside.
This rifle loves FTTs in 4.51 and JSB 8.4 in 4.52.
I took the first shots on each target with a 3 1/2 mil dot hold over aiming at the bull....then adjusted for the breeze and put 7 shots on each target with FTTs on the left and JSBs on the right.
She has a Hawke 6-24x56 Sidewinder sitting on top. All shots on 15 mag.
All bottles inside were broken!!
I really like this rifle!!

Nice! makes me wish I lived out of town... ;D

Cool, Joe. I don't think my stock TX, at 100 yards, would have had enough energy to even penetrate the plastic container, let alone break the bottle. Couldn't shoot today for all the rain, but will see what happens at 100 yards. We had some fun at 75 yards last week.
-
Hey Sparky, glad to see you are recycling!
Duck.
-
Yours can definitely do it Allan!
I've done it with mine and Mr Duck did also!!
The 97 is only around 10 - 15 FPS faster than my TX.
With a 30 yard zero I aim 3 1/2 mil dots over.....on a CALM day!!
Lotta fun!
-
I really strongly dislike you right about now. j.k. great shooting!

I totally understand Mr James!!!

One of THE funniest skits EVER!!
Search YouTube for Dave Chapelle Rick James.
Hysterical!!

;D Joe I went to the local outdoor range 45 miles away yesterday and had a ball they have a dedicated pellet rifle range out to 120 yards and yes a bell at about 105 yards I was using my Evanix RS II .22 And I was doing a "Joe Palone" on the bell much to the dismay of the guy next to me with his FX .25 bull-pup. I couldn't miss and he was lucky to do 1 out of 5

Nice shooting! I didn't have such luck this weekend. Gusty crosswinds, targets at 50 yards with the .177... check out the horizontal stringing... LOL. One second my shot's going right, next shot goes left. Doh.

That is the reason I got my TX200 in .22. Now I am rethinking the R11 in .177 maybe .22 will be better. The .177 does not need as much hold over, but the .22 is more wind resistant. LOL Heaver .177 pellet might be more wind resistant, but might be too hard on the spring. I hate these decisions, maybe I should get both. LOL Will y'all come to my funeral because the misses will kill me. :)
-
very nice shooting as usual joe!

100 yds wind blowing with shot. Tx with stock spring.

It's a good thing too because it helps keep us cool this time of year up here in Gods country. ;) ;)
