I have a HP Pump from Flying Dragon which has always worked very well, but noticed when I fill my BT65 Elite to 3000 psi on the rifle tank gauge, the pump gauge reads about 2600 psi. I am trusting the rifle gauge currently, but wondering if it is common for the pump gauge to differ that much from the rifle tank gauge?

;D Unless you have a calibrated source or a known dead on accurate precision gauge it is a guessing game the only gauge I trust is the ones on my guppy tank because they are both are within a few psi of one another

I have a tank and the Hatsan Gage is right on with air tank

It is common for the guns gauge to be off from the fill gauge on the tank or hand pump. I always go by my fill source gauge.

My marauder is pretty accurate, and I only know this because my tank has a 2900psi regulator on it, and it fills the gun to just under 3k every time - provided there is sufficient pressure in the tank. The tank gauge is about 600 psi low. Confuses the paintball guys nearly every time...
My 909s's gauge is fairly accurate, even with the translation to bar, it hits right at or just under 200bar, so just a tiny bit low.

I had a buddy bottle for a while and the tank gauge and the pump gauge seemed to be pretty close so I think the rifle gauge must be off...

wrong post

My money is on the cheap pumps gauge being off. The gauge on my at44 is spot on with the gauge on my hill pump. Get a good gauge, they're only around $20.

Hey C2 I would be happy to invest that much in a better gauge. Can you point me in the right direction?

The more guns you have (with gauges) the harder it is to get all those gauges into agreement. Would say impossible, but someone out there might actually swap enough gun gauges to make it happen.

I accidentally skipped your earlier comment about the rifle being the one that's off out of 2 other gauges. I would say it might be the rifles gauge then. There just isn't any way to tell unless you have another rifle or a tank :-\

Yep, much more common for rifles gauges to be off

There you go, I would bet heavily on the rifle to be Off :)
