Put the 1377 hammer spring into the 2240 I have. Shots zip out LEAGUES more powerful. However accuracy greatly suffers and when being fed from the magazine it is a very stiff bolt. The stiff bolt is fine and easy to get used to but at 10 yards I'm lucky if I get a .75" CTC group. Then all of a sudden after 8+ magazines through the new spring the groups settled back to the normal one hole group at 10 yards. Is this normal or will they suddenly open up again?

Did you Chrony it, or are you going by the sound?.... I assume you are talking on CO2?.... The stiffer spring makes the trigger harder to pull, you may be getting used to it and that is why the groups are settling down....

I'd venture a bet that it "sounds" like it is more powerful. My 2250 (with an 18.5" barrel) "sounded" LEAGUES more powerful with the Disco Spring (which is heavier then a 13xx spring) in it as compared to my shortened stock 22xx spring, but the chrony revealed the SAME speeds.....but much more CO2 usage with the heavier spring. In fact with the TKO on it the gun now sounds like the CO2 is always on it's last shot.
Here's a link to my results:

No chrony data yet but I can visibly see more power from the gun. I shoot at a cardboard box with a bunch of paper in it so the pellets won't fly through it and before the pellet would just hit and be done. Now the box rocks backwards with each shot. Not a huge amount but enough to be noticeable at 10 yards when it wouldn't do that before. Going to pick up a chrony and a 14" barrel sometime next week.

Any results on the Chrony yet?

Negative haven't yet ordered one. Trying to figure out money stuff right now it is in the works though. I also am planning on HiPAC conversion so I may not even chrony it until I get the HiPAC in place with a valve with higher flow.

I figured out the mag issue also. My gun now refuses to feed Crosman Premier Hollows and Domes but pointeds feed fine so that's my new pellet of choice. Still just as accurate! Maybe it will be fixed when I drop in the new barrel....
