Title: How do I adjust hammer on BT65?
Post by: RedRiderF26 on July 21, 2014, 03:59:20 PM
I cant seem to find a straight answer. Looking to squeeze a bit more power out.... Increasing preload will make more power??? Decreasing preload will make less power??? How do I increase preload, CW or CWW?

I have the at44, if it like the mine you have to remove the stock & there is a you insert an Allen wrench to hold the hammer, then in under the safety there is another hole for the spring adjustment. You will go ccw with the adjustment. Mine was extremely tigh, I broke two Allen wrenches trying to loosen it. Like I said mine is an at44, but I believe they are the same adjustment. Hope this helps.
I don't think you can lighten the preload, all you can do is increase it for more power.

You take the stock of. Then you have a allen screw  in the back. You have to losen a lock screw from the side on the tube. To make the hammerspring harder you have to turn the big adjuster screw cw, not ccw as on the AT44. Tommy.
