Title: Accuracy testing even when diseling ?
Post by: jrhunter on July 09, 2014, 07:53:38 PM
I finally got to shoot my gun since it was returned from Hatsan. According to them it was shooting about 27 ft.lbs with 13.12 grain pellets at almost 952 fps. It is still disleing, but I want to try to go for accuracy, but with the diseling will it be hard to be accurate ?

Don't attempt any groups until the gun stops dieseling. Velocities vary too much , when dieseling to expect any type of consistency. Let the gun settle down, then worry about groups.

My Silent Cat is still doing it with 200 shots, I blow the smoke out each time to see if any comes out and still is, it a new one off the shelf from Wally World, I'm in AZ. And wish Tom Cat was close by. When do you think it should stop?

That depends on a lot of things. I would think it should stop soon, as long as your seal is not allowing blow by of the lube in the compression tube.
You're not using chamber lube, I hope. Synthetic seals don't require any extra lubrication.

Not using any oil at all, but its getting 1/2" groups at 20yard, I just need to get a better scope, the stock one that came with it just don't seem to stay put.

OPPS, what I mean is it will not stay on the adjustment , will stay for a bet but not for long, scope does not move in the mounts.

Run 2 patches with WD-40, 2 dry patches, then clean with Goo Gone and follow up with dry patches. This should stop the smoke. :)
