Title: My Condor now..
Post by: Laz on July 06, 2014, 06:24:02 PM
Hey guys. My Condor is curing for a couple more days but is dry enough for some pics. My girlfriend picked the colours and I love the combo of the 3! The Sidewinder will be put up on there when my new lower mounts come in. I added a heavy barrel to the gun as it greatly helps with recoil. I think it adds a cool, tactical, sniper look too!

This is my long range sniper. I'm pleased with the outcome!

Thanks Dale!

I hit the grips with bed liner because (as some Airforce owners know...) the thin layer of soft plastic rubs off easily.

I don't know, possibly  ??? I'll post a pic fully set up and we can decide from there  ;D I am doing the bipod though.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!  :D

Very nice, your paint jobs look great!
Really like your Brocock to more like my local colors.
Have you thought of doing them custom?
Keep up the great work  :D

Thanks Joseph! And do you mean by a professional? Yes I have! But up here in Canada it's so hard to find pro's who work with professional paints etc. let alone work on my airguns! Took me forever to find a gunsmith to reblue my 97 in a polished, mirror hot blue finish. A lot of them wouldn't "work on airguns"...

missed this in one of your other posts but do you use a stencil

Oh  ;D No, not good enough in my eyes to do it for other people. I do want to get into using an airbrush and Duracoat, maybe Cerakote too. I think I need to expand my abilities such as learning different techniques and schemes. Plus use the heavier duty paints for a more durable finished product. Spray paints on airguns is pretty durable considering there is no heat generated, but no where near as durable as Duracoat or Cerakote or other industrial paint.

As for stencils, I use the really thin grass, not the usual thick blades. I like the way the thinner ones turn out like on my Brocock and  Condor. I don't have the skill or patience!! to make my own sticker stencils as we seen with the Brocock's first painting attempt  ;D But I'm going to practice more with that too.

Thank you for your kind words though! Get's me even more pumped to keep at it!  :D

That is sweet!!! I want to paint my Condor. A buddy of mine does custom painting & airbrush work. I'm thinking about doing something similar to the camo pattern on the NEMO Omens( .300 Win Mag AR-10 basically). Except I want more greens to suit my Eastern NC area a little better. Anyway, great job again on your AR. it is bad @@@...period!

Hey guys, managed to take some photos of the Condor fully set up. After over a month long of not being able to shoot it, and break in the Talon Tunes QCTH, I need to re-tune it...

Dayum son! That looks awesome! I love the tan camo-ish look. I like that the rings are painted. Really compliments the gun and brings the scope into the entire package. Painting the sidewheel would also look sick IMHO! So good looking! I can't wait to see it in a Maddog. The Ultima Long is my favorite looking stock from them!

Thanks Chris!  ;D The Ultima Long is my favourite too from them! You've got me intrigued on the side wheel painting! But so far, I'm going through a lot of chrony/accuracy pellets trying to find the right tune! So I want to get that out of the way.

I painted my side wheel and I used blue painters tape to cover the numbers where I didnt want paint to get on.
