Hi everyone happy fourth. Well the problem is my hatsan 125 trigger, it will pull through the first stage fine. But sometimes when I go to finish pulling the trigger it is really hard to pull, not a little hard really hard. But if I let of the trigger and pull again it is usually easy to fire.
This only happen like once every 20 to 40 shots. Is something gumming it up or is it in the process of breaking. Can I fix it myself or should I just let warranty fix it.
Thanks for any advice

The trigger feels better with a kind of 45 degree upward pull.
A polish and lube on trigger parts helps alot also.
-
Yeah that is how I usually pull the trigger or try to, but I have even had this happen when I pulled this way. Its weird
-
Polish and lube sounds good, at least some lube.

Hey Sam,
How long have you had the gun?
Here is what I would do....in descending order.
1) If the gun is less than 30 days old, I would send it back to whomever you bought it from (PA or Airgun Depot....) and have them fix it. Likely this issue will not go away by itself. So if it can be fixed for fee, I'd do it. Hatsan should pay for shipping both ways.
2) If the gun is more than 30 days old, but less than 1 year, I would send it back to Hatsan USA in AR. This is a safety issue and covered under warranty - they should pay for shipping both ways.
3) If you are pretty handy -> take the trigger out of the gun and do what others have suggested. If you do this within 1 year of purchase, technically, the manufactures warranty is voided for any further (free) service.

Having experience with the Quattro trigger, I personally would take out/tune it as others have suggested, but you have to understand the consequences of your action. Most likely your issue can be solved pretty easily although you may find it frustrating.
My recent experience with Hatsan with a broken trigger sear has been interesting. Hatsan USA (& Rick Eutsler) initially said my Hatsan 95 warranty was voided since I took the gun apart; they would not sell me the sear or a whole trigger assembly. So I squawked and said their customer service was driving me away from their products (I own 9 Hatsans).
Then -> Graciously, they sent me everything I needed free of charge!!!!.
So Hatsan wants their gun owners to be happy........Good Luck ;)
My two cents.............

Thanks spiral and everybody, yeah I am leaning towards sending it back. I just don't want to wait for who knows how long to get it back. And I don't want to void the warranty, it is only 3 or 4 months old. And if I would fix it myself well who knows, I am a carpenter I am great with wood not so much metal.
-
Well if you are not inclined to have confidence right off the back send it!!!!!
I have worn many different hats including carpenter ,contractor, mechanic, shop Forman, jewelry store manager and department manager for Dillard's . So I knew I had enough experience to pull from but that is because I have always hungered for learning new things! When I took my 125 sniper down I payed everything in its place and all was great till I started back in and when I picked up the trigger the pins fell out! Lol oops! Lol. So I looked at everything thinking I would polish and lube it, but it was as shinny as the inside of the air chamber ! So just lubed it and stared at it for about 15 minutes that's seemed like an hour ,then watched some videos on utube ! Back together it went and it worked! It is too new for you to void the warranty ,send it back, you are better off for sure!

Sending it back is probably the safest thing for you to do. Since it's intermittent, that's harder to define what exactly is the cause. Problem could be anything from a floating metal chip, or even alignment in the powerplant. Triggers are dangerous to work on for the unknowing.

I second that. Better to send it back and wait a while than try fixing it yourself, especially if you're not sure about the cause of the problem, or what you're doing.

Thanks guys I guess I am sending it back. Anyone know how long this usually takes. I know they will tell me when I send it but they will probably tell me best case scenario, and we all know that is usually hard to get. Even if They and I do everything right. And surely they would not give me a new gun I like this one it shoots good when the trigger works. Have a good Sunday everyone.
-
Sam,
My guess is 3 weeks before it's back.
-
Well that is not bad at all,I was thinking two or three months
