Title: My thoughts on Hatsan At44-10 QE
Post by: DR on June 29, 2014, 01:42:30 PM
As some of you know from the post below, I received this gun last Friday. Just thought I post alittle on my thoughts of this gun so far. I'm by all means not even close to knowing that much about pcp's. I have had a total of 4 pcp's, this being my 4th, and now only have a PRod and this AT44.

The fit and finish is pretty good on this gun, feels pretty solid even though it does have a light weight stock. It's really nice to shoulder and to hold, alittle front heavy, buts that's OK considering how this thing shoots. I put a Leapers scope on, had it lying in the cabnet from a different gun. I have only shot 1 tin of Kings (350) through it so far, if it hasn't been raining, the wind has been blowing bad.The gun is quiet, almost as quiet as the PRod. I'm so used to the Marauder mags that when empty it wont let the bolt close, on the AT44 it will, so you need to count or look at the mag. I've only been able to shoot out to 20 - 25 yards and so far I'm really pleased on how this thing shoots. It also has a pretty good ping that I need to address one of these days, however, it's not that big of thing to me. But for the price of this gun, it's awsome to say the least!

Thanks for reading,
Dale

If you think the price was so good I paid 325 6 months ago  for the AT 44 before the QE. with all the guys crying about how loud the AT 44 was and it is not loud at all hatsan added over 200 bucks to the AT 44.  Now it looks like they will not make the standard one anymore. Thanks guys good work

Awesome grouping! I have been wondering about the mag count, thanks for the info! I just ordered the AT44-10 long in .25 for 380, it will be my first PCP, couldn't stand all this fun everyone was having with them. I watched the GTA fun shoot video and got the "Dark Side" bug. Thanks again, and keep up that fantastic shooting! and by the way the standard AT44s are still available as well as the standard BT65s as I ordered one of them in .25 as well (I like fixed sights in the field). You know, if you are going to dive in, you might as well do it head first?...

I do not think any old style without QE are being made new you got one left over might be a pump they were least desired. There are a few on airgun depot but no where as many as before the QE series. They are getting rid of the old stock

Check out Midway, they just got their stock this month and they are on sale (335 for the AT44). Also, the standards are still listed on the Hatsan USA web site. I almost ordered the walnut stock AT44 long, but in the field....
