Going to keep it separate from his post.

Got interested in the P-Rod tubed regged version that Motorhead is putting together.
Figured I could boost the power on my old 1700 to something like 9 or 10 foot pounds. Had been at those speeds before, didn’t lose accuracy, but the good shot count (this is a standard, nonregged gun) got short.
Been set at about 5 foot pounds (about 80-100fps over the factory setting) for the last few years. Guess I got use to that.
So not like me, butam going to leave it alone. I must be getting either lazy or more aware of what I’m likely to use an airgun for.
Think I’m going to pass on upping the power. Will look to Motorhead’s results, but with an eye to regging the pistol for more shots rather than more power.
Reasoning:
1. I use iron sights on pistols. I can’t see iron well enough to be confident much past 20 yards. Boosting power isn’t going to change that range limit. To get any real use out of more power would have to go to optical sights.
2. It’s quiet as it is. Not unexpected for a shrouded PCP using tiny blips of air for about 5 foot pounds.
3. The only thing I do with it is shoot paper and plink. More speed isn’t going to be real helpful for either of those.

Shroud started out life as a part of a storm damaged wind chime. Front sight from an old QB 78 (glued and screwed to the shroud).
