Working on getting the HPA QB 78 as quiet as possible. Is there a good way to muffle the Hammer "Ping"? This is a long tube HPA QB78 running at 1500psi with modded valve and full LDC right now the ping is the loudest part. Any help?

Internal tube size is pretty close to a Discovery (or P-Rod, Challenger, 1701). A depinger made for one of those that doesn't rely on the gauge block for fixation would work on a QB 78 tube.

I've read people use some vinyl tubing in the air chamber to cancel out the shock wave any experience with that? Would not hurt shot count for me.

The plastic tubing depingers have fallen on hard times. Too many were becoming mangled and deformed inside the tube, sometimes even sheading little bits of plastic.
Have used them, but tested them quite a bit first. If you go that way, would add it, pressurize the tube for a time, depressurize it, and then take a hard look at the tubing.
Colored tubing or opaque clear is often full of little bubbles inside the plastic. Put that under high pressure, and the bubbles collapse. That can lead to mangled looking, cracked, and even pock-marked tubing.
Never had any problems with ping in the HPA converted QB’s, but I don’t push them fro speed (have them set up for real long shot counts at about 12 foot pounds).

Yep getting around 100 shot per tank on mine it's more of a annoyance thing to me. I'm running a repeater .22 using a 10 round mag hitting 750 fps and running out of pellets a lot faster now. Thanks for the help sir. I'll look into the tubing more I could turn a delrin slug and push that in...any ideas?

Make one out of delrin. My FDPCP is the same way with the TKO on it. The ping in the tube is almost as loud as the pellet striking the target.

So just turn one down for a tight fit to the id of the tube and bore out the center and push it into the tube till it sits close to the valve right?
