I posted a concept build a while back using a 2289 pump arm as a cheek rest. I finally purchased one from Crosman and fitted it to the shoulder stock. I used a 3/4 drill bit to shape it and Velcro to secure it. Works great for both right or left handed shooters. I swapped out my 18" barrel and UTG 3-9x32 AO Compact CQB Bug Buster Scope for a 24" barrel and my Leapers UTG 4x32 AO Scope. I like the set up, just need to get use to the extra barrel length.
Here are a few pics.

Cool idea if not a bit odd looking since I'm so used to seeing it under the gun. As long as it works!
How's the 24" barrel working for you BTW? Do you have a chronny to verify increase in FPS?
If you had the 12.5" before it's probably very noticable.
I put one on mine and cut it at 18.75 but still noticed a significant reduction in drop at longer target distances over the 14.5 I had on it before. I'm putting a full 24" on my brother's 2289 for him soon and Crosman just shipped the barrel to me. We were both running 14.5" barrels and I figure the full extra 10" should make a huge difference for him. He doesn't want me to cut and crown his - just re-crown, enlarge port and polish the lead-in.
Looks like you might be shooting indoors as well.

Not a bad idea!

I've got the 12, 14.5, 18 & 24" barrels. I don't have a chronograph so I downloaded the Chrono Connect app for my iPhone. With my 18" barrel it gave an average reading of 570 fps at 10 pumps and with the 24" barrel it gave me an average of 596 fps at 10 pumps. Not sure how accurate that is.
I do shoot in doors, I've got 32 feet of space just 1 foot shy of the International competition rules. Every now and then I'll sneak a few shots in my yard but the longest distance I've shot is probably only 50 feet.
