Well I've finally got the time to wake up the Sumatra which had been hibernating since last summer. It's kinda later in the season than I had planned to bring it out but it's well rested. ;) Two nights ago I decided to set up for some pesting using the Sumatra. I placed a fresh batch of meow mix out for the wild to enjoy, set the ding donger and trail cam up and the waiting began. That night goes by and I got no alerts "so I thought" until I went outside to discover my bait bowl was turned over and emptied >:(. My main ding donger had taken a dump. The culprit was smart enough to go around the other two and striking gold with a full bowl of meow mix. When I checked the trail cam this is who it was:

He had a total disregard for being caught on camera :o
Well I fixed the ding donger that day, refilled the bowl with meow mix and waited for the alarm to sound. Well at about 11:18pm the ding dongers went off right as I was walking by my shooting station and I look out to see a C-Rat approaching the bait station. I didn't even give him the chance to taste the meow mix before sending from the Sumatra .22 the 21.4 grain barracuda pellet 35 yards. I shot so fast that the trail cam didn't activate because the C-rat wasn't in it's view. It only caught the dance and not the impact.

Well thinking that I was most likely done for the evening, I go in the basement to watch Sports Center and about a half hour later the ding donger went off again ??? I run to look out and what do you know, it was the bandit that had taken my meow mix the night before. Well again I steady the Sumatra, allowed for the bandit to get comfortable (which he already was ) and I let the Sumatra sing ;D. Boy does this thing hit hard.

He never had a chance once the Sumatra sang it's song. Now that both the Hammerli Pneuma .177 and the Sumatra .22 have been active and performing well, it's time for the BT-65 .25cal to come to life for the 2014 season. It's hungry and angry and I plan to let it eat all summer long!!!
