Title: Big game hunt
Post by: AK73 on May 29, 2014, 09:51:10 PM
Shot this wasp that was building a nest in one of the buildings in my yard. I used my old Daisy 840/841 with Copperhead BB's. Distance was about 2 feet. I was shooting into the ceiling so BB's were ricocheting, I wore eye protection, but I actually got hit in the finger by one! But this gun is very low powered so no damage at all besides a little sting for a couple seconds. I need to find a way to prevent that. But anyway, it took a couple shots, but my wasp gun is still working good!

If it is a smooth bore...bring a funnel and fill the gun with a tablespoon of rice or couscous.  It becomes a short range scattergun with little to no ricochet.  Keep the glasses on in case.

You can experiment with a small piece of tissue for wadding and it will seem like you are shooting black powder.
