I picked up a tin of the Daisy 14g pointed pellet
they looked just like the .177 points, UH OH those spiral after about ten yards
loaded up and sure enough at ten pumps(1322 &1322MLT) 15 yards and a fun to watch half crescent...
So I took a razor knife cut the nose off a bit and scraped the ring at the edge away of three pellets. by this time they look similar to the
Crosman points and they weigh in at 13.7g I shoot a quick lazy 3 shot 20 yard standing western stance (just to se if they fly straight)group
and
success a one inch group...
I made some more using a fingernail file to see how they worked and got a half inch 5 shot sitting knee rest group with one flyer
I then decided to see if I could go to 13.55g...
I hit the quarter...
I am going to have to explore this further and see just how much nose I need to take off, how heavy and light they will go.

I will try same with the .177s but feel that might be a different story,...

I made ten more 5-13.75/13.8g 5-13.65/13.7g both went 4 out of 5 within an inch and flyer out at 2".
This shows enough promise that the next batch I will be more careful about shape and see if it tightens things up...
as it is it is a big improvement over the 5.5" wide low left spiral group stock.
I will probably try finer grit glued to a popsicle stick maybe even mount a magnifying glass.
It would be cool to make .5-7.5" groups with them...
the stock head shape is great for straightening bent skirts.
I made some 13.55s but I can do better(got three slightly different profiles), I do not think these will be accurate : I could use them in my 1322MLT to get closer to 700 fps ;).
I do think I just may be able to get them accurate, maybe with care as light as 13.55g...
Hey I like the challenge

Todays work on project
I made some more 13.75-13.8g, 13.65-13.7g, 13.55-13.6g. I also made some with just the ring removed and some with just the smallest of piece of nose and ring removed
I made the 13.55g pellets with care and was able to get good symmetrical shape. I filed the nose flat and just eased the edge of the blunt
nose, one I made more domed...
the heavier pellets were not made with as much care and it shows. easy to do better I think.
below are the results shot with my 1322 (zeroed for 20 yards @10 pump with CPHP)
20 yards prone side rested.
The top red group is the 13.8g ; the bottom red group is the 13.7g ; The big black line is the stock pellet(aimpoint was the center bull) ;
13.6g group is also center bull aim point, it is in pencil above bottom bull

Then I shot , pellets with just the ring removed (the black) and then some with the ring and a very small amount of nose removed (red)
Then some .22 Crosman points what looks like a three shot line is 4 with a double in the center, I could not help adjusting aim to try for the
bull with my fifth shot and pulled it off...
I do think I can improve results and get these accurate, but if not well the effort is fun.

just to be thorough I will make some leaving the ring and just blunting the nose next
I just hope I can shrink the groups a bit. 8)
