Title: Benj trail pistol barrel removel
Post by: brzryder on May 26, 2014, 03:32:03 AM
Has any one done a new barrel in one of these pieces of &^^& i got one of the first 100 sold and you can`t hit any thing with it i took off the muzzle break and found a skid mark in the bore where the pellets are hitting no wonder it shoots so bad i think the really big flat they put on it is makeing the barrel tight the skid mark is on the bottom of the bore so this makes sense .I talked to Crosman and they will not tell me how to change barrels and want me to ship the gun back that i will not do not wasting the money to send it back . If i can`t change the barrel it will be torch time and the scrap yard

Do you mean how to remove the barrel from the breech block? Removing the barrel/breech assembly is pretty straight forward but I don't think that barrel is coming out of the breech without damage.

I think the best way would be to drive out the retaining pin and then use a mandrel inserted in the breech end of the barrel to press it out after heating the whole shebang.

Thanks Stickstoff i`ll give it a try as the gun doesn`t shoot right anyway i don`t care if it gets screwed up. If it doesn`t work just be one step closer to the scap yard where it was going this weekend before you gave me your idea how to fix it this is the only time i`ve worked on a springer this is the only gun i wish i never got

If you really want to scrap it out at some point let me know what you want. I could use one to tinker with!

Good luck.
