Title: Condor .25 the Crow Magnum
Post by: Laz on May 25, 2014, 07:05:06 PM
Intel: Operation Crow Magnum is in full effect. With the addition of new weaponry [Condor .25] I can now reach out to further distance than ever before. The enemy's HQ has been located a very close and aggressive location. A mere 100 yards in the property. Action had to be taken. And I received permission from HQ to engage these hostiles. It's a battle that isn't over as I am greatly outnumbered, and I will continue to report...

Hey guys! My Condor .25 has been down right epic. In terms of power and accuracy. I bagged 3 crows. 2 yesterday and 1 today. I didn't get the camera back until last night, so I didn't wish to make a post without pics.

The 2 shots yesterday were at 83 yards. Very, very accurate Condor  :D It's been tuned for 20 shots within 20 fps at 896 fps AVG with 31.02 Barracuda's.

The kill today was at an awesome 93 yards. I did shoot with the scope cam today...but ofcourse I miss the first 2 available shots with it on! Third time's a charm and when I moved the Orion mount/camera to the side and took a shot off-cam I nail the third guy and he fell with an authoritative thump. These beasts break branches as they fall! To boot, this 93 yard kill today was a headshot. The other 2 were lung/vital/spine shots at 83 yards. I can't get any closer to them, but that's okay with the acquisition of the "Big Bird"  ;)

Here are the pics with some info.

One one the left was the 93 yard head shot (today). One in the middle was an 83 yards spine shot. And one on the right was a brutal heart/lungs/vital shot.

A picture of the headshot 93 yards today. The other 2 are too graphic (sitting in the muggy, hot bushes for 24 hours) and don't need a good look at besides the main picture of all three.

Once again, this Condor .25 is just simply amazing.

And who said only shotguns and rpg's are necessary to take out crows?  ;D ;D ;)

Awesome shooting Laz. You really have that thing (Big Bird) dialed in.

Thanks guys! Yes the Big Bird is calibrated and performs spot on to the Chairgun POI formulas. Small game don't stand a chance.

my condor is just as amazing.  i am doing the first of likely many upgrades.  getting a 24" lapped Talon Tunes barrel, and the TT tophat.  hoping for about 10 or more shots at full F U power.  90 or so FPE

Sounds great! After watching a lot of tofazfoyou videos I want a Condor .257!! Also to try to cast my own bullets  ;D Seems a lot of fun and making the bullets are probably as fun as shooting them  ;D

Thanks Jerry and GrizzlyAdams! Yeah the Condors not-so-curved trajectory gives me much more holdover points with the 1/2 mildot at higher magnifications than ever before (I can be more precise).  2 and a half dots for a zero at 50 yards  for 92 yards at 10x really helped.

And you know GrizzlyAdams, maybe a Condor in .22 or something would be sweet. I think I'd want a new gun instead of swapping between barrels all the time (having to re tune each time, excessive wear etc.).

Thanks!  Same. They are smart little critters though! But more annoying than barking dogs!! There are still a couple at their hq on my land and I can hear them beaking off at the moment  >:( So annoying and ugly sounds.  Ugly beasts.
