I didn't remove the stock. I taped and masked it with paper. I did remove the fore grips. For my first try with spray/sponge painting I am delighted! I used Rustoleum Camo and it says on the can, adheres to plastic. After the color I did apply two coats of matte clear sealer.

I have a Dovetail to Weaver adapter rail and BSA quick dis-connect rings holding a Centerpoint 3-7X40 scope. How ever, it was just as accurate with the 4X Cracker Jacks scope that came with it. Thanks for the compliment. It was my first try. I now have a 10-22 stock I'm gonna attack! :)

Verry nice job, may I ask for details on how you got it to come out so nice?
I would like to do something like that with a couple of my guns, though in a darker camo to blend with this area.
