This gun was my great grandpa's so its old. Looks like a crosman 180 but has a slide and not a bolt [ for loading]. I want to convert it to HPA and I think I need an adapter block for the tube where the co2 goes. I saw them for around 70 or 80 bucks. Seems to me you can get a qb79 for a little more, but I want to fix that gun. Grandpa's. So is there another option? Couldn't you buy an aftermarket qb79 tube and just replace the original? Any ideas would sure be welcome.

It is a Crosman 180. ;D Any part that will fit a C180 or 160 will fit it. A bulk fill adapter for the 160 can be used to convert to regulated HPA. Not over 1500 psi for safety reasons.

Thanks for the reply Bart. When you say bulk fill cap , are you referring to something like the block on a qb79 that allows you to run a regulated hpa 13ci ninja tank off the front? That is what I want I just dont know where to get one.Any ideas?

Hi Bart. Yes that is what I want. But it seems to no longer be avaliable. I see Archer ag has one for a qb79 that can be used, I think. 35$. Has anyone used this?

The QB block has been used by several people..... However it has a flaw in the design,,,,, the retaining screws are too close to the end of the tube. There has been incidents of the block blowing off the end of the tube under CO2 pressure. Adding two more screws a little further from the end of the tube is an acceptable reinforcement practice.

So far I've read probably 200 or more posts about modding the qb78 or crosman 180. I'm familiar with the problem you discribed. For that my Idea is to add 2 screws like you said. I'm thinking about my next step. I'll post some pics as I go. My goal is to get it to 30 ftlbs , over 50 shots per fill , better than my marauder in accuracy , I'm going to make a stock as my Mom works at an omish furniture store. This will all take awile because I'm young and ignorant. I'm also finnishing my beji ss 22 [needs camo paint job otherwise done] , quest needs Hawke scope to arrive next week,paint and decoritive cap on end of receiver tube] , WFH [ finnish stock mod with custom omish butt,paint,and re-do shroud again] , and my lil sisters raven [I painted it pink, paints drying]. All 4 of these guns are super accurate. I wanna make a post on each one of these some day.
