Then open it to find the gun has never been shot....

At a buck and a half I couldn't pass it up......

Yeah it was $150 - brand spankin new. It is actually a 853C - it has a bag with the 5 shot "clips" in it. The optics have not been out of box, there are also a bunch of different inserts for the front sight. 3 spacers for the butt too.
Date on the end of box is 1/21/1999
I picked it up for backyard/basement plinking beside my P17's. Guy said he used to work in some program where they would teach the kids FA safety and they used these. Had a couple left over when the program was over and he got one. Guess he was holding it till he needed some money.

When I checked PA for the 853C it's $321.99. I was looking at picking up one of the 953's for just over a hundred, but figured I should go the little extra just for the barrel.

Thanks Tom - maybe it's an East Coast thing.

I did see another post where someone bought an older NIB 853 and thought they might need to do that but wound up OK.
I did open the pump and see that the piston seal is pliable and coated with an oily substance so hopefully when I get to shoot it Sunday it will be OK.
