Just got a Benjamin Titan .22. I have only shot this gun 3 times and today I noticed the barrel has side to side and up and down play. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Rick,
Check the barrel pivot bolt, you will be able to tighten it for a while but eventually will have to replace the plastic bushings with brass or bronze.

The main screw that holds the barrel to the body is loose
or they forgot to put the two bushings the barrel has (one on each side).
If it's new send it back
edit: tomcat was faster :D

Thanks. I was looking at the pivot bolt earlier. It looks to be pressed in. Don't know a lot about the gun I have had it for a month but no time to shoot. Wish I would have noticed this sooner

You will have to remove the stock to gain access to the pivot bolt. It is a common screw head on one side and you can see the threaded hole on the other. Sometimes they are so tight it takes an impact wrench to loosen them.
It is a shoulder type bolt and it is possible to bottom it out before the pivot is tight. If that's the case, the washers are too thin or nonexistent.

I found it today. I tightend the bolt and some of the problem is fixed (not as bad as it was) but still some movement. Is it possible to strip the theads or should I go tighter. I can still turn it but I don't want to strip it. Also what kind of washers does it take and where do they go. Thanks

I put one in with an impack driver and didn't stip the threads . I would recommend blue loctight and the brass barrel washers while you have it at this point
