Title: Bobcat's Back
Post by: Dave F on May 04, 2014, 11:49:15 AM
Got my 25 cal Bobcat back from AOA for the second time the other day. First time was accuracy issue, second time was air leak.
I must say AOA had been very good on fixing these issues and has done it free of charge and even paid for shipping both ways.
Shot in back yard yesterday. Thought my S510 was great and had a great trigger, we'll first shot  I sent off went off by complete surprise, it was sooooo crisp and light.
Without trying very hard I GS
Hot 6 consecutive fairly rapid groups at 23 yds and all were from 0.12 to 0.25.
Probably would be one hole if I really tried harder. Very happy. Also put on the moderator I got from AOA and the gun is so quit it's unbelievable, makes a marauder sound loud.

Glad to hear you got it worked out.  I've been seriously looking at the Bobcat .25 for a while now (currently shooting an FX 500).  How long is it with the additional moderator?  If it's not too much trouble, a couple of pictures would be excellent.

Thanks!

Nice to hear they fixed everything as that is a great platform. When I was at AoA in late Feb. while on vacation, I had my eye on several FX's... but after shouldering both the Bobcat and Verminator, I preferred the latter. Guess I am not bullpup fan. But these FX guns are tack drivers!!

It's 35 1/2 inches long with moderator. Moderator is 6 inches long. Gun weights 10 lbs 10 oz with moderator, scope and mounts and 2 full on board magazines. That's a hawke eclipse 6x24.
Have not found an ap for my Ipad to reduce photo size so I have not been able to post pictures.
Site has a very small file size requirement. Maybe someone can tell me how

Hey Dave,

Glad to hear you've got it all sorted out shooting good! It has the same action as the Royale 500 unless I'm mistaken and I love the Royale. They are awesome shooting guns, and mine is the most accurate pcp I've shot to date which isn't saying that much but the list does include an S510 and a Cricket .25.

I shot this target tonight at 23 yards. Hardly stretching the legs for the gun at that distance, but sometimes it's fun to see just how accurate it can be at closer ranges. 11 consecutive shots, (one mag) the very top and bottom shots (the fliers :-)  were the first and last shots in the string. I can routinely put 10 shots into a target at 50 yards that can be covered with a dime and I've never once had to clean the smooth twist barrel. Everything about the gun is effortless.

Good luck with the new FX!

Kindest regards,
Cliff

Finally got to the range today to see how AOA did on my Bobcat.
At 23 yds in my back yard it was good but at the range at 50 yds I actually shot 2 five shot groups that were just one slightly enlarged hole.
Needless to say I am impressed. 6 other groups both with JSB ,s and AA 16 gr. we're not as good but around 1/2 inch when I did my best. Still learning how best to shot the gun for best accuracy.

If it is a .25, it is not supposed to have a 470 cc cylinder? See here:  http://www.fxairguns.com/ (http://www.fxairguns.com/)
