Title: Mauraders Owners,...The Teryx stock is back
Post by: Nomadic Pirate on April 30, 2014, 03:37:19 PM
I always thought that that stock was the best look for them mauraders, well last night I was sitting down with the maker of those stocks (here for a bowhunting trip ) and he told me he just started production again after some time off, I asked him about the new maurader model and he said he will buy one and make a stock for the new model too, I was super busy bartending so I could only stop by and sit for short times but I'll ask him more info if there's interest here.

Hey Strever.....  What setup is that you have on that Mrod?  I like the looks of that one.  I really like my mrod now that I have the boyds stock on it and done.  I'll post a pic if I can figure out how.

Got the stock direct from boyds and did all the inletting in the bridgeport mill at work.  Bolt handle was custom made on the lathe, and the muzzle on the end was courtesy of Hillgsa

I believe they are all CNC machined aluminum, very sturdy and lightweight.Kind of looks like a cross between a Benjamin Rogue and an AR-15.I like the look and function a lot,has nice mounting rails as well for bipod etc, 8)

Actually Crosman never does answers it's always the aftermarket makers that answer.
Without all those aftermarket parts avaiable all over, the Maurader would never be where's at now ;)

For inquiring minds on the Teryx weight (shown w/ CP 4-16 X 40 adv. class), it's not a lot of savings:

Thanks, Steve.  I would have thought/hoped for more "savings".  The synthetic has less weight than either.

On the positive side: it does shift the balance point more to the trigger, which makes it handle a lot better for off hand shooting.
It takes away that "aiming a 2 X 6 piece o lumber" feeling.

Yeah but that new Syntethic stock still looks UUUgly and looks real cheap too, The Teryx is sweet looking and quality made on the other hand.

You will enjoy either one Jesse.
The local FD union won't allow them to fill my scba tank, as they'd rather bankrupt our county, so I'm stuck with my 3500 psi scuba & Hill to fill my cricket. But soooooo worth the grief.

Hey all, I would be the guy Manny was talking about.  I just got home from his piece of paradise this weekend, so I apologize for not chiming in sooner to this thread.  I very much appreciate Manny mentioning the stocks here, but just to set the record straight....I didn't join up here to peddle the Teryx.  I simply have been a little absent from the airgun scene altogether for a bit...and talking to Manny the other night got me fired up about it again.  When he told me this was one of his favorite hangouts, I decided to check it out and join.

At any rate, i will be making the Teryx still...if you're looking for one, you can probably use your Google-fu and find my contact info....if the mods find that out of line, I totally understand....I guess I just felt an obligation to speak up since Manny created a thread and all.

Mostly, I am just darn happy to be here and hopefully I'l find the time to spend some with you all....learning and shooting my airguns more....Thanks.

Rob

I talked to Rob about getting these for the gen2 marauders. He needs a synrod to measure to make adjustments for the gen2 changes to trigger and action.

Does anyone reading this have a synrod in Montana somewhere he could review? Probably the least likely state to have someone nearby, I know, but I figured it was worth asking! :)

Any plans for making a Terxy for the Discos?  You could call it the V-raptor...lol.

But seriously, would you consider doing one for the Disco?

quick update- and heads up GEN2 TERYX Stocks

Thanks to the many folks that have been so patient with me and  ensuring  the new Teryx Gen2 Mrod stock come out as good as the 1st version did.

It's  been made for YOU guys- THE Shooters of the world!! NOT for me- I have my gen1 and love it-

BUT NOW for those of us that own Gen2 also and want an Alloy stock for the MARAUDERS. It's being done.  --12-14 days from now - I should have  The Mrod- Gen2 Teryx alloy frame  - fitted and being tested--

Expecting 1st week of Jan to begin the production run.... if you want one- now would be a good time to sound off.

no deposits- no commitments - just names and 'I want one' (pending final price) should have that in a couple days-

Just trying to see how many we need to be set up for?

I have 3 spoken for, no matter what it takes they want these done now- for some shooters out there-
3 more going to vendor- T.T.
at least 4 more going to another vendor for his stock - RArms
plus MY 2 - that's 12 total for sure this pass- half with names attached before run is made--

AS SOON as the frame is fitted to gun and all works the way it should we will  post picture of the finished stock- be assured these are on the way- it took longer than I had wanted but they are real-  NO BS

Alan B.

Got it- Wimpanzee...you are #4 behind Me, Dave, and Tony-
Black or other wise- taking requests for dipping as they come in - they can be dipped approx. 80-90$ not including any parts like grips or stock - if you want to dipped too.

Looks like another short run- was hoping to hve more interest in these gen2's ......?
