Got an HF ad in the newspaper today, Driveway Alarms (Ding-dongers) are on sale for $13.99 until July 5th. Buy two!!!!
-
"Buy Two!"
I will! Most awesome little device for tracking all activity in my backyard..has saved my chicken coop from midnight coon and possum raids countless times. My dog knows the sound and hits the back door wide open anytime it goes off, ;D
-
There is also a 25% off coupon in the ad too.
-
Can you post the codes? In my harbor freight ad's it is $14.49.
-
Hmmm!!! I just got their flyer today and it says the sale price is $17.??, don't remember exact price but was 17 something, I wonder if they have different prices in different areas.

Thanks for the heads up as I plan to grab a couple for the driveway.

Went to our local HF today, took the codes, the alarm was priced at 17.99 to go on sale for 13.99 first week of June. The mgr would not extend me the upcoming sale price, but said I could bring my receipt back during the sale and they would give me the difference. Driving distance: Approx. 25mi. Nice guy. Ya right. I politely informed him of the old saying about "You catch more bees with honey" and he seemed shocked by that. Guess he would rather people remember him for being a stick in the mud than going out of his way to make the customer happy. Wonder how long he will last there with that attitude.

Harbor Freight should be called: made in China junk. Sometimes, you might find a giz-mo that does what you need, but most of the time it's just plain junk. Cheaply made, cheaply imported, cheaply sold. Not for me.

I set up the ding dong last nite in a window, overlooking a piece of tin foil I smeared with peanut butter, hoping to lure our possum to the bait and take him out. No ding dong, no possum, he must have moved on during the winter, but I was pleasantly surprised a few minutes ago when the alarm went off, and there was a squirrel at the bait. That's pretty sensitive imo.. If it continues to work like this, I will be impressed!

Keep putting it out there, may take a few nights/weeks to come back, sooner if he knows your place is a reliable food source.
I use this for my Raccoon and Opossum bait station, picked 4 opossums. Dry dog food with little tuna works great. Tuna draws them in, approx 1 cup dog food is enough to keep them busy while you set up to take the shot, details here;

at close ranges it is quite sensitive, when there is no activity over night the Scrub jays come in around sunrise and take the dog food, alarm lets me know they are there.

Yup! For that price I had to go get one. ;D May even get another before the sale is over.
They didn't have any of the little led lights for $2.99 though, Bummer, wanted to try them for lights on my pro chrono so maybe it would work in the garage. Works great outdoors, don't work at all in the garage, wanted to check my tune the other day when it was raining, after a couple shots and no reading I remembered, pro chrono doesn't work in garage.
They did say they should have them in a couple days.
