Title: Let's see those Crosman AS2250XTs!
Post by: silent_airman on April 27, 2014, 03:51:57 PM
I am looking for inspiration for my upcoming project. I'd like to see what other members have done with their AS2250XTs, especially if you have BNM breeches and shrouds installed.

Details please!  ;D

I have been looking for one of those for a little while..

Too bad they are discontinued. Even some parts, like the valve and piercing block, are discontinued. Fortunately there are aftermarket parts to be had.

Forgot the details:

The first one, on top, started out as a stock AS2250 but I can never leave anything alone.
** Crosmods Trigger, Grip and Bulk Air Adapter
** Crosman Steel Breech
** Long probe bolt and custom handle
** Boss Valve
** ¼ Inch Breech Riser
** TKO Muzzle Brake
** BSA Sweet 17 2x7-32 Scope

The second one, on the bottom, started out as a Mountain Air AS2250.
** BNM Repeater Breech, Left Handed
** Crosmods Bulk Air Adapter and Barrel Band
** Custom TKO Shroud
** Aluminum Roller Trigger made in New Zeland
** Walnut Grips by A****r, I have not been able to locate a Walnut forend.
** BSA Sweet 17 2x7-32 Scope

Both are 22 cal.
They are both more accurate than I am.
Don't own a Chrony so … no numbers.

Yup  thats the adapter i got on EBay i couldn`t see putting a 88g on the gun until i found out if it leaked or not not leaks .the only problem i had with it was who ever worked on it last do a P.poor job of putting it together the breech was not on right and the bolt wouldn`t move tore it down back together and all is fine going to get some numbers on it then a tear down to put in the new boss valve i just got from B&A today already put a TKO and a 3-9 x 40 scope on it

George,

I know you already have your build planned, but here is the one that just got delivered to me today. So many possibilities.......Going to run it off the 9oz CO2 (with the 12G adapter as a back up) for the summer while I save up for a 13Ci regulated bottle. Not sure what scope to put on it yet. I think my 10-40 x 50 might be a bit too big. I think the 3-9x40 will likely go on it.

I do like the look of it as a pistol with this barrel, but I think I'm going to get an 18" from Crosman on my next order to use with the shoulder stock. It also came with a butt stock for a 13ci bottle, but it's just a tad small for the 9oz.

Jim - what length TKO is that? I just ordered a 6.5". Also - are they "High" mounts on the scope? I've got that riser with mine and "Medium" mounts. I haven't tried with bottle yet, but not sure how it's going to fit. I think I might have to either use high mounts w/o riser, or low mount w/ riser.

ROB glad to see you got your AS2250XT i seen on capof that crosshairs was going to sell a new one in sealed box he was thinking of $170 to $200 for it . The TKO is a 6.5"  the mounts are the high ones that came with the scope the scope big end only sets 1/4" off the barrel

I actually picked mine up on this site from Rescue912
So the TKO I ordered is the same. Even though my paint hasn't dried 7 days I decided to test it together. Next week I'm going to use my homemade shawod grass stencils to finish the stock
I think the med rings I have just might work with the riser. I do like how much easier it is to load with the riser. I am going to get at least an 18" barrel because when I fire it I can see the "unused" CO2 coming out of the barrel.
With that little bit of stock cut off for the bottle it handles and points great.

What is that riser?

What is that riser?

It's aluminum and mounts onto the dovetail and has a dovetail above it.

It kinda looks like the condor mount. It was on the gun when I got it.

Does make it real easy to load and puts the scope at a comfortable position when my cheek lays on the bottle.

Thanks for all your kind words, guys. By the way, that's a BNM shroud and breech kit. If you haven't tried one yet, you are missing out! Great stuff and a great company!
