Been neglecting these three Hatsans. Have had them long enough and shot them often enough, that it’s about time for a longer-term evaluation.
#1: Hatsan/Raider 5mm. Big scope, but a 3-9X50mm, so I’ve not abandoned my preference for the lower powers for hunting (liking field of view over magnification when out in the woods):

Been in the safe for a few months. Thought I’d take it out and see if it shifted POI drastically while sitting quietly in the safe.
14.3gr. CP’s @ 829 FPS (average: 24.4 foot pounds)

Guess I’m going to have to blame the left and right group centers on the shooter, as I can’t find anything to account for it with the gun. Not a lot, like a 1/8” shift back and forth, which is likely me getting reacquainted with the rifle.
LONGER TERM VIEW POINT:
1. It hasn’t leaked or broken anything. So far, every Crosman PCP has leaked in the first year. This one, and to other Hatsans haven’t.
2. It’s pellet picky, and the unfortunate thing is that it likes the recently discontinued Crosman CP’s. Shoots almost as well with JSB’s, but tends to occasional fliers.
3. Nice looking stock is a bit soft, collecting dents that harder wood would not get.
4. Trigger adjustments are a bit coarse. Can get a good trigger, but it’s “fiddly” enough that a 1/10th screw turn makes a big difference.
5. Small air volume isn’t a negative for me (pump filler) but might be for tank users looking for a long shot count. This one will stay inside of 4% for 21-24 shots at about 21-22 foot pounds.
6. Bonus Points for TKO’s LDC.
7. Bolt is both in an odd (too forward) location and the only safety. BUT, if you chamber a round and decide to put the bolt back to safety, it would chamber a second pellet on top of the first when you crank the bolt back forward. So for on safe, have to lock the bolt back AND pop out the magazine.
Would I go looking for one now?
No.
Bought it because it was the last decently cheap (under $500) 5mm PCP repeater. For .177, 22, 0r .25 I’d just get the Hatsan. If a HARD CORE 5mm fan, might dig though the classifieds looking for on at the right price, but otherwise get a .22.
#2: Hatsan AT44 PA .25. Still wearing the old Taso 4X40mm scope (and I doubt I’ll change that):

Again, been sitting in the safe for over a month, so though I’d take it out and test the POI.
31gr. H&N @ 819fps average (average: 46.1 foot pounds)

Going to have to confirm my inability to hold windage on my rickety field type rest. Even at 20 yards, am getting shifts in windage I cannot blame on the gun.
LONG TERM VIEW POINT:
1. Hasn’t broken anything or leaked.
2. Not super pellet picky will shoot Barracuda, JSB, or Benjamin Domes fine.
3. Pump action needs to be worked firmly to avoid miss-feeds.
4. If shooting from a bench, and you push forward with your shoulder while the fore end is on the bag, can pre-tension the fore end on the front bag, and have a little air leak when the gun fires. Not something that happens hand-held.
5. Bonus Points to TKO. The .25 specific LDC is larger in diameter. Side by side, the 47 foot pound .25 is just as quiet as the 24 foot pound 5mm.
Would I go looking for a new one?
Yes.
For the current price ($315), it’s hard to beat in a .25. Pump action works great in the field: I hardly remember pumping, as it becomes 2nd nature. Your eye stays in the scope and on target while cycling the pump.
#3: Pneuma .177 single shot. Also with a cheap 3-9X40mm scope:

Been in the safe for about a month (maybe 6 weeks). Filled and tested today for POI shift.10.3gr. @ 831fps/ 15.8fpe).

LONG TERM VIEW POINT:
1. Has been worked on quite a bit to get the velocity down and the shot count up, but mostly as issued mechanically.
2. The Hatsan AT 44 repeaters will be about the same mechanics, just with a magazine. Single shots just aren’t popular enough to stay in Hatsan production.
3. Trigger adjusted nicely with little trouble. Being the same trigger as the above two, can consider that luck.
4. TKO’s LDC is a little shorter than the one on the 5mm, and a bit smaller in diameter than the one on the .25, it works quite well at this lower energy level.
TOGETHER:
1. Not much difference in trajectory out to 50 yards. Basically the same hold over/windage hold out to that range (and a bit beyond). Difference in the energy delivered to the target, but getting it there (drop and wind) is pretty close to the same.
2. Quietest is close, but the lower powered/more air efficient .177 is a little bit quieter. That may seem natural to you, but it didn’t get to this point by chance.
Over all, even with aftermarket LDCs, great perfomace for the $.

Very nice.....thanks for that!

I would like to find a good deal on a Pneuma. I prefer the side lever and really like the shape of that stock, which is only available on the pump version Hatsans.

Actually that version is coming if you wait a bit.........http://www.hatsan.com.tr/en_at44_10.html (http://www.hatsan.com.tr/en_at44_10.html)

They have always made them I think, it's a matter of what gets imported. Unless you have other knowledge?

The side lever action is only on the pump version with thumb hole style stock that he is talking about, they make the side lever in the standard stock, and not thumb hole... until the 2014 shot show where the new models were offered. We'er talking hatsan and not pneuma
