Title: Sun Optics vs. Leapers Optics
Post by: Airgun.Sniper on April 17, 2014, 01:01:22 PM
There Adjustable Objective looks the the same from whtat I can see. 5he only difference maybe the glass and the etched reticle. Has any one ever used sun optics before?

Had my hands on one of there 30mm tube 4x16x44's that got fooled with for a spell.  * It also had the bubble level inside that was in the 6'oclock fov.
It was just ok ... big and heavy, glass nothing to brag about but quite doable as a hunters scope.

Not sure who actually makes it for SUN, but build design was VERY very similar to a Sight Mark scope also owned.

I have a Sun Optics 3-9x40mm (older version without IR) and at 9x the view is only clear in the middle.  Blurry at the edges.  I don't have this problem with any my two Leapers scopes.

I've never had a Leaper's scope.  I have a Sun 4-16X50.  It has IR as well as AO.  It is kind of big and heavy but a nice scope for the money.  I like the etched reticule and the bright clear display.

So your saying the scope is clear? No fuzzy edges?
