Title: Questions about XS60C
Post by: desertplinker on April 15, 2014, 09:31:32 AM
Took one in on a trade. Gen. 1. Need information with photos would be good. I don't' seem to navigate Gateway that well, tried searching for the information I need. The barrel is loose, no set screw in the threads under the sight. Would like to remove the safety and how do you put the carts in? Owners manual of no use. Also, what is the difference between the CO2 gun and PCP version, do they use the same tube? Anyone have a photo of the plug on the end of the Gen 1 CO2 version. You can email me at: skiprsg47 AT AOL dot COM. THanks in advance.

Check out Mike's vendor gate Flying Dragon Air Rifles. http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?board=135.0 (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?board=135.0)
He can answer any questions and concerns on the XS60C. But here is a thread with disassembly instructions.

Let us know if this helps or not.
SAFE & Happy Shooting!!!!

Safety Removal
1) Remove the action from the stock.
2) On the back of the receiver you'll see the safety pawl spring . Use a fingernail to compress the spring and pull it towards you, it'll pop right out.
3) Behind that spring is a set screw (part #2). Find the right size Allen and remove it.
4) The safety lever (part #17) is now free, tilt the receiver to the left and it should fall right out. Push it out (right to left) if necessary. Make sure to grab the detent plunger and spring on the left side (parts 9 and 10).
5) Once the safety lever is out, the pawl (part #16) can be pulled out the back of the receiver. Grab the back edge of the pawl with a pair of needle-nose pliers and just pull it straight out.
6) Put the action back in the stock and you're done.

I might suggest going one step further, Pull the bolt out and remove the rest of the mech. located in the groove on the bolt. (spring, half moon shaped thingy on a small post and stop screw). This stuff came loose in one of mine and jammed me up. They are parts 50,51 and 52 on the diagram.

Welcome back, buddy! It's coming along fine. Just waiting for spring to make an appearance so I can get outside and shoot. I am also waiting on my 60C repeater from stalwart. Eric is a wizard with these Chinese AGs! ;D

Waiting for spring??  Maine is beautiful, but living in Florida does have some benefits or shooting lead!  Good luck!
